The Fear of New Beginning

As a result of my previous posts I have decided to take my site in a new direction. The direction I move towards is emotional and deeply conveyed.  As Samantha James says, “Lift your hands, embrace Breaking waves of change.”

I must describe my own past and present so that I can help you relate. Growing up I was an average kid I played video games and enjoyed activities outdoors during the summer and winter. Maturing throughout the years and better understanding people I realized there was something wrong.  The problem was that no matter how many material objects I had I was still very lonely and often without friends. My nature was deep rooted in a state of peace and often I was afraid to be around others who seemed much more out spoken then me. I was very shy as a child and not always the most confident of my looks based on what I saw in magazines and on television. As I continued to grow I went threw much deep sorrow and was often abandoned by so called “friends.” Threw my deep sorrow I began to discover who I really was and who I couldn’t be anymore. I could no longer be a normal person of society just breathing on a conscious level when we needed subconscious thinkers.  As a result I broke away from my family chain and developed ideas on a much different level. I could no longer be convinced that our lifestyles were helping others and better yet ourselves. Being an American use to mean something prideful and worthy but by today’s standards we are one of the most hated people in the world next to the Jewish. I began to study and research why life was not as “glorious” as we were taught in school and at home. Many Americans suffer depression every year and we have become one of the most obese countries in the world despite all of our advances. My life has become an ever growing pursuit to understand and help others that have fallen into the trap of society; that trap being the pursuit of wealth and popularity.

The beginning of change is something hard and often a long road. Everyday we are constantly challenged in our daily lives both at work and home; rather it be the upset boss or the ungrateful children. Deep sorrow plagues or lives and often we wonder what life would be like without problems. The only way to solve our problems is to realize that we need daily change in our lives and it needs to be positive. Going to the same job everyday for years that you never enjoyed will drain your self worth. After all we all have something special that we can add to each other and most of us have lost that ability due to our lack of self worth.

The root of our problems is often based on an internal “mirror” as it might be called. This idea supports the fact that we will get upset with others over matters that we ourselves have. I myself struggle with this because I often see the same customers come into my work and this bothers me because I support change and something new. When they walk into those doors I am often reminded of my job and how much it can be a drain on my individuality; always working for a collective mind rather then coming up with my own ideas.

The beginning of change will come as soon as we realize that we are not the only people in the world. Being American is not something we should brag about but rather we should be glad that we are alive and breathing. Once we understand that there are many other people in need our needs will pale in comparison. Like captain Janeway said, “Maybe the best way to get help is to give help.”

I challenge myself and you to break new change in your lives. Rather it be a new job or finding a local community to support with volunteer time. It’s amazing when people work together rather then compete against one another. Stop letting the mold of society dictate who you will be. Don’t let any government or corporation make you feel worthless based on your paycheck. Money is just paper and even though we may put value into it a human life will always be more then anything on earth. Never stop giving and never give up on yourself because with great change comes great reward.
